Null Friction’s Madras

Null Friction is releasing their debut album, Madras on July 17th, 2009. The record consists of seven songs, every single one written and performed entirely by Null Friction. These songs talk about a wide range of topics. While “Mud” expresses the band members’ disgust about how religiously fundamental political maneuvers come in the way of free thought and development of our country, “Inside Jokes,” on the other hand, presents unadulterated post-break emotion with expressive simplicity. According to the band, in spite of being filled with songs that talk about issues ranging from teenage conflict to the repulsive outcomes of selfish political action and thought present in today’s environment, Madras is essentially local in thought – it is written to bring the mind of the listener back to a state of HOME. In fact, the album represents, for the band, a home-coming of sorts: the band members left their motherland two years ago, returning now, on their summer break to put their nostalgia and feelings on tape. The songs will be available here shortly.
