Chennai celebrated an early Christmas. And how?
Central Festival organized by Unwind Center had in store for the crowd, a number of musicians from the city along with students from Unwind School of Music.
The lovely evening started with contemporary dance performances by Stripe Studio of Dance and All Stars.
One of my favorite songs of the evening was Song of the Bells by Chennai latin jazz band Osher Moosica. Worth mentioning would be Yohan on the sax which left the crowd was simply mesmerized!
Jus’ for Kicks was amazing as usual and we really enjoyed their performance. The band does have good fan base in Chennai especially the lead singer, Sujan.
It was then Chennai’s gospel rock band Kontagious with Saroop Oomen on vocals with Satish from Skrat on bass and Tapass from the same band on drums.
Students from Unwind school of Music were very exuberant. All the lead vocalists namely Nritya Andrews, Anisha Verghese, Sujan and Samcy Philip came forward one by one and sang ‘War is Over‘ along with the choir and then sang together
Now which Christmas show is incomplete without Silent Night! This was the last song of the evening and the crowd joined the musicians on stage led by Saroop.
