Twilight Circus comprising of Bharat on vocals, guitars and percussion and Dhananjay on guitar and vocals performed at HOC, Chennai the other day. They also had John Pradeep of Bad Fish accompanying them on bass for a couple of songs.
The band was superb and gave quite a good performance and would have done better if they had a better audience and a better sound.

Colourful posters, lights, rain bearing clouds, young and old rock fans and the cool sea breeze. This was the scene on Sunday evening where Junkyard Groove entertained the crowd, playing a fundraising concert for Reclaim Our Beaches movement @ Spaces, Besant nagar.
The rain gods were grateful enough to spare that evening without drenching the open air auditorium and dampening the spirits of rock fanatics.
The event begun with foot tapping melodious music courtesy, Anything Goes, an all female vocal band. The lovely ladies set the perfect mood for the evening and following them were none other than our very own Chennai band Junkyard Groove.
Ameeth Thomas was right on the mark with his witty jokes and sensational singing as well. The band played their popular numbers which included “Folk you”, “Its okay”, “Say goodbye”, “Let you go” and others, while the crowd swung to their tunes.
The highlight of the evening was JYG covering MJ’s “Black or White” and “I gotta feeling” by Black eyed Peas . Singing along with JYG,the crowd rejoiced though the band managed with some blah blah lyrics.
JYG showed why they are one of the leading bands in our county through their professionalism and passion for their music. Ameeth also utilized this opportunity, reaching out to young minds as he spoke about the plight of our beaches and the pollution levels in them.
The everlasting spirit of Junkyard Groove, sold out tickets, jam-packed auditorium and smiling fans, all culminated to bring out a successful evening.
JYG truly rocks!
